Exmoor Rotary Challenge
This is an annual competition between two Rotary Districts, 1170 and 1200. Two routes are provided, most do the longer one of about 12 miles. The Rotary Exmoor Challenge is also a gentle competition between Rotary Districts 1170 and 1200 for the Rotary Challenge Shield. Rotarians and their families and friends from each district earn one point for completing the 7 mile walk or two points for completing the 12 mile walk. The Governor of the district with the most points formally receives the Shield at a club meeting. However, non-Rotarians are very welcome to join in the walk (pre-booking essential) to increase sponsorship money for Children's Hospice South West. Please GIFT AID the sponsorship and donations if you are a UK tax-payer.

CONGRATULATIONS - DISTRICT 1200 WON BY A MASSIVE MARGIN AGAIN! The total number of walkers was 237. We hope for a bumper level of sponsorship for the charity Children's Hospice South West - last year this event raised over £4,000. So far this year we have received £1500 - but sponsorship money has yet to come in.
In 2005, there was a total of 278 walkers, the highest number ever.
