Youth Speaks 2010 - North Devon Area Finals

DULVERON WON THE NEXT ROUND OF THE COMPETION - held at Barnstaple on 3rd February. Many congratulations to Ellen, Amy and Chloe. As you will see below - they were pretty happy about it...

The winners! Holding the Rotary Area Trophy

I've just returned from a wonderful evening at Barnstaple where you will all be pleased to hear that the Dulverton team carried off the first place in the Intermediate level, together with the shield. With their subject "How the Credit Crunch is affecting Exmoor" they impressed the judges and the audience of 160. They were against stiff competition from three other teams, all so much older than they are, indeed we had to remove the lectern so that our team could be seen! Well done Dulverton Middle School. Photos show the 3 youngsters all on "cloud 9." Alan
