Richard Evans, Past President of our Club, presents a cheque for £11,000 to the Children's Hospice South West. This web-site shows something of what being a Rotarian is all about. We are a group of men and women who meet together regularly and our guiding principle is 'Service Above Self' - we organise a number of different events during the year to raise money for charities, some local, some reflecting the international nature of the Rotary organisation. By far the largest support we give is to the Children's Hospice South West, and over the last 10 years we have raised over £60,000 for them. Over £11,000 has been raised for the Hospice by our club in the last year. Some 20,000 children across the UK have medical conditions which means that they will not live to adulthood. In the Rotary year July 2006 to June 2007, this small club of only 25 members raised
an amazing total of over £20,000 for a range of charities, both local and international. Site updated: July 5, 2008

THE OBJECT OF ROTARY
|
Membership: |
The Rotary Club of Exmoor covers a wide area. Our 28 members come from Bampton, Dulverton, Brushford, Brompton Regis, Uffculme, Minehead, as well as other villages and hamlets on and around Exmoor and the Exmoor National Park. |
Meetings: |
We meet each Tuesday lunchtime at 12.30pm (for 1.00pm) in the Anchor Inn, Exebridge, and Rotarian visitors are always very welcome. However, Rotarian visitors should avoid the first Tuesday of each month as this is a 'working lunch' with a buffet when we hold our Council Meeting. See 'Location' for directions. |
